Hi and welcome! Thank you for joining the growing Struck Inside Out Community!
I've had this idea for awhile to post weekly challenges or rather, "weekly awarenesses" to help cultivate a different mindset or practice for a new week. More often than not we can become so used to living in repetitive patterns - thinking outdated thoughts, interacting with others in expected and automatic ways, and going about our very existence as though things will always remain the same.
With each new weekly awareness, you can test out different ways of thinking, being and living while sharing your experiences with others.
What are you learning about yourself with this new practice? Are you meeting like-minded people and having interesting encounters from thinking about yourself or life differently? Will you continue to cultivate this heightened awareness even after the challenge is over? Are you enjoying the process or do you find it difficult to maintain?
Whatever it is that you're going through, you can post, share and interact with others to connect, engage and form new ways of being. We all spend a lot of time on social media, scrolling through other people's photos and commenting on each other's lives and experiences. The Weekly Awareness is a whole new way to join a platform and connect through conscious intention and a desire to live your life more intentionally.
My intention with this space is for you to be inspired to experiment with new ways of being while learning about yourself through the process. When we can embrace heightened perspectives and alternate outlooks, we allow ourselves to grow. I hope this community helps you to discover more of who you are while connecting with others who are venturing on similar journeys. When we inspire change within, we encourage change without.
I hope you enjoy the growth that occurs from trying new things and meeting new people. Let's create lasting, positive change here for ourselves and the world.
It all starts with a single thought, a shift in mindset...an awakened awareness.
I'm not sure how I connected to your website, or how it came to my awareness. Your posts drew me in and, as though I was on autopilot, I signed up! I've been listening to your podcast and reading your articles for almost 2 weeks now and it's aligned with some other things I'm doing for myself (Brene Brown as well as Terri Cole).
It's freaky... serendipitous, really. But in a way that reminds me that I get more of what I focus on, consciously or unconsciously. Like this is second semester and I want to know more and do better.
I'm still feeling skittish to post. That's the real work, though, right?
Thank you for putting this out there. I'm getting a lot out of this so far.
